Love, As Always, Pete

The Weekly Letters, by A. Pedersen Wood

October 5, 1990

Dear Everyone:

This week’s Letter has been called on account of Lack of Foresight and Failure to Plan on the part of a certain supervisor who blithely told the manager, “’A’ will get that out by the end of the day today.”

That is 6 feet of paper that has to be sorted, arranged and generally handled before I can go home.  Fortunately, I had parked as close to the BART station as possible this morning.  Unfortunately, I had done this because of all the other things I need to get done today, not counting “Alma’s” 6 feet.

Then she kept us all in a 30 minute meeting that lasted 2 hours, during which she announced that she’s decided to change the format for the Quarterly Report that’s due today.  So we have to re-do all our reports.  Today.

Actually, she said, “Y’all don’t have to get those in to me until Monday”, but I’m not going to be in the office Monday, so it has to be done today.

So, no letter this week.  Sorry about that.

Love, as always,

Pete
