Love, As Always, Pete

The Weekly Letters, by A. Pedersen Wood

July 12, 2005

Dear Everyone:

This is really just a quick note to let you all know that there won’t be a Letter this week.  I knew last week that I would be out of town beginning Wednesday (tomorrow) afternoon; but didn’t put two and two together back when I was writing last week’s Letter.

It’s time for the annual Association of Records Managers and Administrators (ARMA) Pacific Region Leadership Conference and this year the GSCC (Greater Sacramento, Central California) chapter is the host.  (Try saying GSCC-ARMA three times real fast.)  So I’m off to the state capitol tomorrow (I’ve been advised to leave around 2:00 pm to avoid being stuck on the highway until 8:00), returning Saturday afternoon.

And I have to pack (as much as possible) and change purses (no small undertaking) this evening.  So not much of a Letter.

In other news…

I love my new bed!  And no, I don’t need a stool to get in and out of it.  My “delivery window” was between 11:00 and 3:00 last Saturday.  The deliverymen appeared at 2:30 and were out by 2:45.  On Sunday, “Jeannie” came down and we spent several hours, and several hundreds of dollars, finding 1000-thread-count duvet covers and sheets and pillow cases and pillows to fill them.

As of tonight, I will have slept in it a grand total of four nights, then I’m off to a hotel for the rest of the week.  Ta ta for now.

Love, as always,

Pete
