Love, As Always, Pete

The Weekly Letters, by A. Pedersen Wood

April 3, 2002

Dear Everyone:

Las Vegas.  We had a great time, but both caught colds on the trip back, so this will be a short Letter and I’ll try to make up for it next week.  I woke up Sunday morning with a horrendous cough, which I blamed on a possible allergy (although my allergy doesn’t usually kick in until autumn).  But when I talked with “Jeannie” Monday night, she reported that she had started a cold on Saturday (always the overachiever).

By Tuesday, the cough had graduated into a full-blown cold.  For a moment I thought my coworkers were going to drive me out of the building with flaming torches.  However, they relented and let me stay.

The problem right now is that the new computer, which I set up last week, is giving off that “new computer smell” and it’s causing the cough to go into overdrive.  Can’t cough up a lung and write a Letter at the same time.  Hopefully, it will be but a distant memory by next week.

Love, as always,

Pete

PS.  Don’t breathe too close to this.  P.
